American Staffing As Your Employer
Although temporary assignments are fulfilled at our various client locations, American Staffing is considered your employer. All questions regarding your employment and/or assignment should be directed to an American Staffing Consultant. Anything related to the actual job function or workflow can be discussed with the client supervisor that you are working with on your assignment.
Attendance and Punctuality
Punctuality and regular attendance are essential to the success of our business. Please arrive at your assignment 10-15 minutes early. If you are going to be absent, it is your responsibility to notify a American Staffing Consultant at least two hours prior to your scheduled shift. For late arrival, whenever possible, you are also required to contact a Staffing Consultant with your estimated arrival time. Scheduled time off will require advanced approval (two weeks prior) from American Staffing. Excessive tardiness or absenteeism (three or more occurrences) may result in grounds for termination.
Unexcused Absence
Failing to report to work without calling in, “No Call No Show”, will result in disciplinary action and grounds for termination. Failure to report to work without calling in for two consecutive workdays is considered a voluntary termination.
Dress Code
Please abide by the client-specific dress code. Your appearance/attire should always reflect a professional demeanor. If you have any questions regarding appropriate attire, please ask your Staffing Consultant.
Client Equipment and/or Property
Equipment, supplies, identification cards, badges, company keys, phones, computers and all materials provided by the client are to be used for business purposes only. You may not take, give or use these materials for any other purposes. All client equipment, property, and materials are to be returned immediately upon completion or termination of the assignment. Failure to do so could be considered theft and may result in termination as a American Staffing employee.
Maximizing Your Success
- Be friendly, be a team player and contribute ideas and solutions.
- Start work on time and stay focused on your job responsibilities. Checking personal email or using the internet is prohibited while on assignment.
- Please refrain from cell phone usage except during designated breaks.
- Follow all workplace safety practices and procedures. Notify American Staffing of any on-the-job injury. All American Staffing employees are required to exercise caution and good judgment while on an assignment. It is required that American Staffing be notified immediately upon injury to ensure prompt resolution. Failure to do so can delay claims processing. All injuries may also require a drug and alcohol screening upon seeking medical attention.
- Do not drive or handle money while on the job without American Staffing permission. Contact a Staffing Consultant should this request occur.
We are happy to welcome you to the American Staffing Team! Our goal is to ensure that you are successful while working on assignment with our various clients.
